Our soccer project against discrimination and racism in amateur soccer!

60 young people set a joint sporting example against racism and discrimination in soccer. They are straddling the right.

What is it all about? To sensitize soccer players and coaches and to draw attention to the fact that racism and discrimination are still part of and a problem in soccer.

Together with buntkicktgut and TSV München-Ost, we presented our soccer project for the first time at an amateur club.

The goal?

To promote and strengthen civil courage and initiative in the fight against (everyday) racism. On and off the pitch, at the bakery, at the workplace.

Our appeal to you: join in, get involved with us and straddle the right.

Straddle racism and discrimination in soccer.

Our concept

At "Grätsche gegen Rechts" we communicate our values through two concepts: Action Days and Workshops.

During the action days, we visit our partner clubs directly on the pitch and work with the young people in a direct exchange within the framework of a small soccer tournament.

In doing so, we combine the fun of the game with the imparting of central values of our common togetherness.

Our workshops take place on a smaller scale and away from the pitch. Like a game, our workshops last 90 minutes. We interactively deal with the topic of racism in amateur soccer with the youth players.

We do not give long lectures, but create a framework for the participants to reflect and learn, as well as to develop the necessary self-confidence and self-image to actively fight racism and discrimination.

We are primarily concerned with one thing: empowering young people to act!

On and off the pitch.

03.11.2022 - The starting signal

We already launched the "Tackle Racism" initiative in 2019. On 03.11.2022, we deepened and advanced our commitment with the action day at TSV München-Ost.

In cooperation with TSV and buntkicktgut, we spent a whole day playing soccer with 60 young people and talking about racism and discrimination in amateur sports.

For more than four hours, the ball rolled in beautiful sunshine, together we were laughing, eating and underpinning our joint social responsibility.

The objective was simple: to combine the fun of the game with our shared social responsibility.

We are firmly convinced that all athletes - regardless of their level of performance - can change our society for the better through sport.

This idea is also lived by our partners, the TSV and buntkicktgut, as well as the 60 young people on and off the soccer field.

What remains?

Youth players like the ones from TSV München-Ost and buntkicktgut will shape our society in the future and define our values.

Through sports, but also in everyday life in general, they have the opportunity and responsibility to construct a social coexistence that knows no exclusion and discrimination, but above all respect, diversity and tolerance.

Through sports, we have the opportunity to reach out to these young people.

That is our responsibility at B42.

And that is the responsibility of all of us in sports - as players, coaches, officials and board members.

That is your responsibility.

Straddle the right with us now. Against exclusion, racism and discrimination.

Be fearless. Be focused. B42.
